yes but it is the waiting time for the review of your documents that counts. The NVC states it takes 60 days from receiving the documents that is the scan date that is the important date. My was Feb 10th. Right now they are reviewing a lot of cases in about 40 days.

If you have not send in your Aos and IV packets and your AOS fee shows paid you can submit both packets, using the AOS document cover sheet. You will have time to pay the IV fee and fill out the DS260 while you are waiting for them to review your documents

Of course, actually it's what i've done with the documents, when we paid the AOS fee, on the next days we

sent both packets of AOS and IV, and the scan date it was on March 13th, (if i'm not misunderstanding, the scan

date is the date that the NVC received the documents, right?), so we hope that my case to be completed

in about 40 days and not 60 like they told us.

Actually we're on the day 14 of 60, it's too early for have any good news.

The only thing that we are waiting for now it's the DS260 to be activated for complete it and pay the last fee!

We submitted the DS-261 on Feb 15, and paid the AOS fee on Feb 28, but still no IV fee invoiced... booo! Sent all the documents last week but they're still in the mail (sent from abroad), so I guess we still have 2+ months to wait for the fee to be generated...

It sounds as though you have submitted the AOS and IV supporting documents already. The 60 day time frame is typically what you will hear from the phone representative in regards to those packets.

Call them. They will veryify who you are, and then they will usually give you a brief summary of what events have happened (" we received your files on date xx/xx/2015"). Once they finish they will ask what they can do for you, say this exactly:

"I was hoping that you would be able to review the DS 261 over the phone today."

This is a "soft" way of asking for something. You are not making a demand, yet you are gently reminding them that they can, if possible, review the DS 261 over the phone.

If they can, they typically will. If they can not, they will say something like "I am sorry the file is currently locked." If the file is locked, that usually means it is the process of adding information to the file (perhaps your AOS and IV packet information). Once that is done the file will unlock and the phone representative will be able to review the DS 261 over the phone.

I hope this helps.

Your phrase was perfect and they accept to review my form over the phone!!

So thank you so much for all your advices, now i have to wait for make the payment

and just wait for the Case Completed! THANKS!!

I called yesterday and they told me my form was still "locked" and couldn't be reviewed. I turned in my form on Feb. 27th. The agent was nice and took my email and confirmed my scan date and asked if I sent the AOS package with the supporting documents. Told me to call next week.

Yes we did and they sent us the bill by email. Something to do with a foreign address why the fee was not generated.

On April 10th, NVC sent me a checklist for 'Fee Payments', it's because i didn't paid the IV Fee, but now we already made it and

we hope to don't have to wait 60 days more. When we received the checklist, it was the day 27 of 60 of the total waiting.

No, I didn't fill it out. I finally got a NVC rep that reviewed my DS-261 over the phone, and I was finally able to pay the IV fee today. Don't go back into the form! You will have to wait even longer that way.

I could be wrong, but I think these are "false checklists". It probably means that they've reviewed and accepted your documents.
