Our status has changed ..... But nothing new !!

Hello Everyone !
when i check our status on the USCIS website , it said that our case was approved on march 13 , but until now , we have not got the electronic NOA2 ( email ) .
Is that normal ? how much time does it take normally ?

Did you get a notification for your NOA1? If not, then you probably didn't sign up to get a notification. Regardless, I wouldn't worry. USCIS doesn't have the best IT system in the world (or at least it doesn't know how to run it properly).

Now if you don't get a hard copy NOA2 in the mail within a couple weeks, then I might start to worry...

I have heard others have had the same issues about not receiving the electronic NOA2 so I wouldn't worry too much. If you haven't received the paper NOA2 by the 23rd, I would go on the website and request a copy of the notification.

We got text and email for NOA1 but neither for NOA2. My fiance looked on the USCIS website one day and the status was changed. The paper copy arrived a week or so later. Never did get any direct electronic notification. And that was within the last couple weeks.

Yes we got our Electronic NOA1 , i did not understand what you meant by signing up , we did submit the G1145 with the package though .

Until now we have not gotten anything via email .

There are two ways: the G-145 that you did or via the USCIS website. I did it via the website. Just to give you an idea of how quirky the system is, many people on VJ have received notifications that their appeals were rejected, even though those petitioners never got rejected or provided an appeal! It turned out it was just a notification error by USCIS. And back when a big group of us were transferred last August, many of us received 3+ notices in a span of 2-3 weeks via e-mail and text message even though only one action happened.

Now it sounds like USCIS has the opposite problem: NOT sending out electronic notifications.

Their email and text message notifications are unreliable.

I got NOA1 email and text message, but not for NOA2.

Rather, I saw it first on the web site, like you,

and then about 10 days later received a hard copy in mail.

It should be coming soon.
