Hi everyone!

I sent in our petition with the 1145 form ( electronic notification) but im wondering if thats gonna last for the entire case, or if theres a different form we have to use AFTER we have recieved our NOA1, which we did last week.

I saw on USCIS that you can sign up on the webpage, but i dont know if thats how we will recieve notifications about the NOA2 when that time comes.

And im asking since i cannot Track my case on USCIC with the number anymore, it tells me theres nothing there and contact the National Service Center.

So, my question is : can I get notifications anyway else or is the 1145 form still good or how does it all work after NOA1? :)

Thanks in advance and good luck with the process to you all :)

I never got the text or email for my noa2 and I had the electronic notification set up as well, I was able to check my case online everyday and did so, so this is how I found out. I asked why they never sent me a text or such they said it depends on the officer that approves the case if they "feel like doing it" she told me . So you might you might not but you can call the uscis number every so often and type your receipt number in and it will tell you when it gets approved since you cannot check online .

Welcome to the forum.

Consider setting up an account at USCIS: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do They can and do send you email and/or text messages of your progress. Sometimes the system is a bit clunky (considering it is a government bureaucracy), but it has generally functioned okay since we started our immigration journey.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thanks guys :) I just signed up and logged in, but it says theres an error or no info on our case still... a bit disturbing theres still no trace of the case. I HOPE its really just a two day technical problem from the USCIS side.. else i dont know what to believe except the worst! That they lost our case or other of the horror stories we have read about :-/

And im probably freaking out about nothing which i guess is a normal reaction in this process hehe

bestest of luck and happiness to all of you guys out there!

This is what I did. In spite of filling the notification form, when i created an account and added my case on there, the text and email notifications werent checkmarked so I checked them. Time will tell if that works. So I think there's some truth behind the statement that it depends who looks at your case because they have to set your case up for enotifications. Mine obviously wasn't even though I requested it to be.

That is odd that you received your paper NOA 1 but there's nothing on their portal. If it were me, I would call them.

Sounds like you should speak to someone at USCIS. Good luck.

this is normal, so keep trying to add the case to your account, once a week, until uscis has it electronically logged.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I also had problem checking my case status. There's an error message that pop out. And when I logged in its only blank "my". My case# start with WACxxxxxxxxxx

My fiance is here with me in Denmark so we cant see the mailbox at home in case they sent an RFE or what the update is about without this webpage working..
