Why do Spouses wait longer than Fiances?

No it is not legal at all, I cannot enter the US under the VWP and tell the IO I am here to my marry my fiancé. Forget fiancé the min you say you have a significant other who is a US citizen they'll ask you more questions to find out what your intentions are.

Now however you can lie to the IO and use VWP and then get married but please don't say that's legal. If it was I think I-129F wouldn't exist.

It is legal to get married using VWP, I married my first wife while we were in Florida on vacation while both using the VWP . What is not legal is using the VWP, with the intent to come to the USA, get married then stay and AOS.

This is a serious question, I want to know why Fiances can get into the US (through the CSC) in 6 months and that is pretty much unheard of when it comes to a legally married Spouse?

Very simple, the number of petitions is such that either more people is put to review and process them, or it takes more time overall. Adding more people ain't gonna happen....based on past history...then it will take longer.

Also, the process time changes in a cyclical manner, today is longer a process for a CR1 than for K-1; it has shifted several times since we process ours, and at that time, K-1's that went to the 'black hole' CSC as I recall it was called and with the 'explanation' that is was for 'faster processing' added 4-6 months to the process. n the meantinme, CR1 were going in less than 6 months. Luck of the draw you could call it.

We had our reasons to do a K-1, once we committed to that, we knew it could take long. When it went longer than we had thought worst case, then we got creative and use the time to prepare for the move, take proactive actions to secure a good credit history when she moved, etc.

You need to realize that the people in VJ is a small percentage of the overall volume of petitions, less than 20% and possibly even less than 10%. There are no stats published by USCIS, so the above is just a raw guesstimate base don a sample of petitions seen in VJ versus volume charts (approximations) seen in USCIS report sites

As upsetting as it might sound, it is not productive or even healthy to try to find logic in what USCIS does or does not. Not saying to sit back and just suck it up; only that many -myself included- at one time or another have rally to get signatures, media coverage, you name it; to get USICS to be more efficient or even to get explanations.

As far as I know, there has not been any attempt that had a glimpse of progress.

Over the last 3-4 years, the ebbs and flows of approvals of different visa's, and their service centers is mind boggling.

CSC is fast then it is slow, then VSC quits K-1's, and TSC (worst ever) steps in..,., there is no figuring this out, we just play by the rules, we are given, do the beat we can, and get our loved ones with us as soon as we can.

Sitting around trying to figure this out or what will happen next with USCIS.,..,.is a thing, I would not want to dwell on.

When your time comes, your loved one will be here, be hopeful, and patient.
