It takes about 10 business days from noa2 to nvc.

read Hanks excellent guide at this link. It explains the process from nvc to completion. Here is the link.

Hi,

Our NOA2 was issued on Feb. 23 and has now been 24 days... I started calling NVC after one week and every two days since. As of last night we still have no case number.

A very nice fellow there explained that because of the massive snow storms they have had in New Hampshire mail has been delayed and agents have been off work too... So, there has been a bit of a back log.

The NVC generic answer is that is usually takes 30 days from any services center and no need to call until then... HA! 3 to 7 business days then to Manila...

All that said, I still see some folks getting their case numbers much sooner regardless.

The best thing to do is keep calling... I have had the best success to call at 11:00 -11:30 PM East coast time just before they close... Only a few minutes wait time...

Good luck to us all...

Hmm im assuming its because of the backlogs due to the weather. I hope i have the same thing with them but unfortunately no :(

Heres what the Ceac website says everytime i choose DS-261:

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error.

And this message when i try to check my visa status:

At NVC

Sad message that i wish will go away soon :(

It can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks after your NOA2 to get your MNL case number. It took me 5 weeks to get mine.

Just keep calling everyday until you have it. Be persistent! And once you have the MNL number, you can pay the visa fee and get the interview scheduled. Good luck!
