How New Must the CENOMAR Be?

I don't know the rules, I would suggest to have a more up to date one. It would suck to get a ####### CO that day and for some reason they decided that was going to be an issue.

I think a CENOMAR only cost a few dollars.........

I would think the embassy would accept the document as long as it is not expired. The CFO might be another matter. I would have her go get another one if is not too much of a burden. It's cheap and she can get it the same day if she waits in line. Of course distance and transportation factor into the equation in the Philippines. I wish you good luck.

NBI or CENOMAR cannot be over 6 months old or a 221(g) will be issued. Since you will be close with your current CENOMAR, I would go to your interview with what you have. If it was 8 or 9 months old then I would say get a new one.

Since your interview is March 23 then your CENOMAR technically would be out of date for their purposes if it was dated prior to Oct. 23, 2014. A couple of days either way is not going to get a 221(g). Last week someone was approved at their interview and theirs was out by a week.

We are scheduled for our K-1 interview on Monday. My fiancée's CENOMAR is dated last October. Is that too old?

Personally I would beat feet to NSO and get a new one.

She may get lucky and the CO won't have issue with her current CENOMAR, I have read of a couple people that got it done with a CENOMAR beyond 6 months... always an exception to the rule

A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.

Yup..... head on over and see if you can get a new one in time. If not go in and present your documents and don't say ANYTHING to the CO about the dates. If asked explain truthfully your circumstances.

1st of October to first of April is 6 months. Don't waste her time running around getting something new when your document is dated within the 6 months.

Where did he say what day in October? Did I miss him say 1st of October?

The exact date in October doesn't matter because whatever it was it will be less than 6 months on March 23rd.
