Seriously OLee?? yeyyyy

I don't mind if the green card takes longer, I want to be able to go to the US with my husband :)

Should we do something different about the I-130 filling to go faster? We plan to send directly to the office in Chicago, lockbox, is that ok? What do you mean by "while they are together abroad", should we send somewhere else, or fill somthing diferent?

Thank you everyone!

First of all you have to read the Guides to figure out how visa process is going and what visa you need.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides

If you are married and your USC husband lives with you abroad, you can start the process while you both are abroad. I mean, start by gathering papers for I-130 and mail the packet to Chicago Lock Box from your country you currently live in.

If you get auto expedited (most likely), this first step may take a few days or a month (instead of 6-8 months).

By the time your case is shipped to the NVC for the next step, your husband can start figure out on how to reestablish his Domicile in the USA (read, read and reread all guides!). He may need to leave to the USA alone to get settled. In this case you will finish the NVC step staying in your home country. You will be apart for some time (NVC process may take around 3 months if you are proactive and won't do no mistakes); read the guides again!).

Good luck!

I will certainly read everything carefully, thank you!

Apparently K3 is really not the way to go

3-6 months doesn't seem that bad, compared to 1-2 years

Thank you all!

Yes, READ and READ and READ. I even made a separate notebook where I wrote down all the notes and remarks, printed out some GUIDES from this site, highlighted some parts, till I almost learned everything by heart. My husband is very inpatient so most of the step-by-step stuff I had to do myself or place in front of him ready to sign :)

Visa Journey site is awesome, people here are great, we are doing everything ourselves without any other help.

If you have any other questions just, please, ask.

We sent our first packet in the end of Nov, 2014, got approved very fast, and by now we are in about 2-3 more months of wait to get our case complete. Hopefully we will be able to get everything finished in 6-7 months.

You are welcome and good luck :)

It's a relief to hear that! Yes, this website is amazing, I woudn't know how to do everything by myself!

I'm putting all the papers together to send the I-130, asking affidavits of support for friends and everything.

Now I'll just have to figure out which address should I put as our address, because we have recently moved but all our documents have the previous address. Any advice?

Thank you so much

You should put the address of where you are residing now and it has to be valid as the USCIS will send you all notifications to you to the address you provided.

What kind of documents you have with the previous address? I don't think it is an issue, but I may be confused.

Credit card bills, health insurance statement (we are together in the health insurace), my Tax transcript (my husband appears as my dependent)..

Evrything with the old address. We have nothing in the new address yet

So I;m not sure what to put in "USC address", "beneficiaries address" and "the last address you lived together in"

Thank you

I think by adding those (credit card bills, insurance, etc.) to your petition (as an evidence of commingling finances and ongoing relationship) you just put an attachment and explain that you moved to another place. It can also be explained in the cover letter you attach to the packet.

If I was you I would put my CURRENT address where you live now (your country) and there is an option in the forms where you put your American address as an address where "you intend to live in the USA". We did that and + my husband explained this in his cover latter too. We were fine, no RFE's got and out petition was approved.

You may check related FORUMS here too on the questions you have.
