MediCal paid the bill even before we could see a financial assistant at the hospital. The total bill was $50,000. We want to pay the bill, but dont know where to start from. You don;t need to be in the US to pay the bill; you can transfer money directly from your bank account to them.

You will need to find the office for the medical area that paid the bill and make repayment arrangements. You may have to make lots of calls, You probably will not get visas until the bill is paid off.

You need to contact the hospital and in find out who paid the bill. Then contact the office of the agency that paid the bill. Inform them you need to repay them and will need a receipt when payment in full is received by them. You can do all of this from overseas.
