Will be submitting I-130's for my wife & stepson as DCF Manila Embassy, what is the best way to arrange the paperwork there? ACCO fasteners for grouped pages, attach to a vanilla binder, folder?

Will have seperate envelopes for each my spouse & stepson? Nothing is being mailed since its a DCF in person transaction.

Submitting photocopies of all document packages, will keep exact duplicate copies, & a package of the orginals if they request such.

Hi GuitarJam. Just use binder clip for every application. 1 for your wife, 1 for your stepson and 1 for your proof of residency.

We got our Manila case number already.

Binder Clip all the docs together in each package? Would like to group applications that have multiple pages together, maybe with a staple?

Proof of residency will be included with each, listed on the cover sheet showing rental agreement, utilitiy bills, bank account & permanent residency card.

I kept everything loose and separate. Only things I paper clipped together were multiple page items (I-130, G-325A). I binder clipped anything that was too big for a paperclip (pretty much just the photocopies of every page of my US Passport).

I didn't make a collage of photos. Just kept them loose so the USCIS Officer could flip through them at will. She kept 10 out of the 80+ I handed over (Dating, Wedding, Post-Wedding)

Dec 24, 2014 - NOA2: I called USCIS @ USEM on Jan 5, 2015 and was told the I-130 was approved on Christmas Eve. Thank you Santa!

Jan 13, 2015 - MNL Case Number & Packet 3 Received via email (I emailed the IV Unit-Manila requesting these on Jan 5, 2015 and Jan 12, 2015)

Jan 21, 2015 - NOA2: Mailed (via PhilPost!) paper/hard copy delivered to our place here in Manila.

Jan 22, 2015 - Packet 3: Mailed (again via PhilPost!) paper/hard copy delivered to out place here in Manila.

Feb 24 & 25, 2015 - Day 1 & Day 2 of Medical @ SLEC. Immunizations given on Day 2, thankfully

Mar 5, 2015 - USEM Interview Appointment - IR-1 Visa Approved! (CEAC Status updated to ISSUED afternoon of interview day)

Mar 10, 2015 - 3pm - Received SMS saying IV Package ready for pickup at 2GO MoA. Picked up at 5pm. (Shipped/Picked Up/In Hand on 3rd Business Day post interview)

Mar 13, 2015 - CFO Manila - Done

Now disposing/selling/giving away/shipping to the US stuff from 14 years in the PHL and 4 years together before heading to POE.

Why do they want photos for an I-130? I thought that was for the interview for a VISA, I think a dozen photos would suffice, being married for 3 yrs, and in my case knowing each other for 15yrs is more then enough proof

They don't necessarily want photos. I was just fulfilling the I-130 Instructions (Revision 12/18/12), page 3, Section "What Documents Do You Need to Prove Family Relationship, 1J: "Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union."

Wife and I have known each other since 2001, been a couple since 2004, married since 2010. 10 photos civil wedding, 30 photos church wedding & reception, 20 photos from when we were dating, and 20+ since we got married.

You don't have to do what we did, but anything that bolster your case for USCIS that your marriage is real enough for the petition to be approved (in addition to the other stuff you're submitting) will help your case. In your case, if you have documentation or photo proof that you've known each other for 15 years, you're all set.

Yes, during the interview, the prescreener spent time looking at our photos, the US Consul none at all. The USCIS officer spent more time looking over my photos than both of the two combined at interview time.

Different strokes. I'm the type of person that likes to stack the odds in my favor.

Hi! The photos is not for an I-130. Its for proof of bonafide marriage..

Yes, it was for the I-130. Brought the photos when I filed it and it was the USCIS Officer who looked them over.

Going to find out today if the Embassy Outreach will except I-130's, didn't see I-864 Affidavit of Support mentioned under the I-130 Guide page but it was a listed requirement for the I-130 in the I-130 FAQs page.

US Embassy Manila took our I-130's at the Outreach visit yesterday! :) Saved me a trip to Manila, and they didn't need the I-864 at this time, but later when the CR-1 is filed. They also only wanted photocopies of the photos for proof of a relationship and only need 1 copy of my G-325a for both my spouse & stepson.

Going to start our timeline.
