All you people that show up at CES or ComicCon, or Toyfair and think this is so FUN.

You don't think about all the people crying at their desks that made it happen >=[ /pout

The other day the radio was talking about the most stressful jobs.

And these people are calling in talking about their "stressful" jobs and I'm sitting there like you guys have no idea what stress is.

And when they read the top 10 list, sure enough, there I am, number 8.

Except they even make the description of "event coordinator" in that article sound less stressful.

They don't even touch on trade shows.

I don't think I ever want to do something like that. Way to many ppl to co ordinate, I deal with my family and that's enough for me.

I think my job as software engineer is very stressful too.

Have deadline to meet and every week needs a charge number(for project cost purposes) to fill up the timecard

I hate it so much when my timecard get rejected

The worst part of my job is when I think about that these people, let's take GE for instance, spend probably 50k on just a blank piece of floor at CES, then they spend 300k on a booth from us, and it's like... it has to be perfect.

You spend 3 months meeting this deadline and then your company hires some idiot who claims he has all this experience and in the end you end up hiring extra trucks to drive from IL to NV practically over night just so you can get everything there in time.

And that's why I'm taking a day off half the time. That's why I take like 10 vacations..... And even then, I can never really leave work at work. It comes home with me, everyday.

i DO get a lot of swag.

I made a deal with one of my clients at the Natural Products West show.

I hid IBC rootbeer barrels in his booth.

He is sending me back gluten free foods.

Oh there's something that happened.

Turns out I'm allergic to gluten.

Yay me.

Not.

I feel like now that I think about it that I did talk about this gluten thing before.

But that was back in July.

Was I here in july?

Maybe I was.

I can't remember.

Feels like I've been gone forever.
