I would really like to know how the people at the Cairo Embassy can sleep at night? Do they have no conscious? How can they deny an expedite and totally disregard the fact that now, someones life will be in jeopardy? Do they not feel bad for basically sending my husband into danger? They have to be aware that El Sisi is prepared to send ground troops into Yemen. Knowing that, how could they deny our request knowing that my husband was just called to active duty. They are heartless and sick. I hope Allah remembers this on their day of judgement.

Have no fear my angel, God may take his time but he never forgets and they are heartless, lets say that they are fallowing rules which is BS I know one person from another country had her case expedited because she wanted her husband home for Christmas. They can do pretty much what they want, this power makes them arrogant and corrupt. You can tell someone to go to h e l l in a million different ways they choose to be men and evil.

I'm so sorry about this, but I'm hopeful my husband is right and this wont happen but I so understand your frustration and how scared you feel. You know your both in my prayers and always will be.

To the right on the visa column, bottom for interviews, top for Visa's approved. There is one on the bottom from Egypt, let's see if they are given a Visa or not, yes I'm totally paranoid.

I don't know if they got anything done. The embassy replied to the enquiry that the Congresswoman just saying "she had an interview and her visa has now been issued and was posted this afternoon" on friday, but that doesn't mean she helped, they were just responding like nothing even happened, like they didn't make a huge mistake.

It was issued and posted on Friday, according to them. I am freaking out because I'm meant to leave tomorrow.

I called last night, and talked to someone nicer. He said it is just checking the paperwork, not security checks. Does your status show AP on ceac.state.gov?

Wow they gave you a lot of info, seriously! I'm surprised they told you it's paperwork not security. I talked to a couple of supervisors, and they absolutely refused to give me any information other than "no timeframe."

But that's good news it's just paperwork checking. It seems like AP at the NVC stage is a new trend.

Try calling at night. They are a lot nicer.

AP at NVC is not new. I just never thought it would happen to me.

NVC is an AP facility. They are for administrative processing. They do the administrative work for the embassies. I read somewhere it takes a little longer to verify someone's paperwork than normal. Sometimes, something is missing from the file and they are waiting for USCIS to send it to them. They just don't tell you. They say you are in AP.
