I am traveling to Nigeria to settle my Divorce and will be going to Ghana during my trip. I need a Invite letter! I am wanting a multiple entry Visa because I will be visiting Ghana again in July!

what is the best way to get the invite letter done. I am going with a Nigerian friend who works in Ghana and his Business partner said he will invite me, however he does no know how to do the letter and I need to mail out my passport asap because I leave in 31 days for Lagos!!!!

According the Ghana Embassy website: http://www.ghanaembassy.org/index.php?page=visas they have one of the requirements to submit "evidence of financial support or letter of invitation from host in Ghana". Is your Nigerian friend's business partner taking care of all the accomodations and expenses for your trip? If so, he can do a letter as I sampled it below. Or, if you can provide information about the hotel you are staying, plane tickets etc, then I don't think you should have any issues getting a visa to visit Ghana.

Here is a sample letter:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to invite [applicant's full name, birthdate] to visit me in Gahna for a period of [time]. My name is [your full name], [birthdate] and I will be providing food and accommodations at [your home address] for the duration of his/her stay. We have known each other for [time] through [explain circumstances of how you met - family member, you went to school together, you met on holiday in Ghana, you met through work, etc]. The main purpose of [applicant's name] visit is [explain the purpose - tourism, wedding, family reunion]

I will be financially responsible for [applicant] during their visit to Ghana and will ensure they return to [home country of applicant] before the expiration of their visa.

Please feel free to contact me on [your phone, email] if you require further information.

Sincerely

Your name"

Hope you take time to reflect on your failing marriage before dabbling into another. going from nigeria to ghana seems a lot of fun to me as you will be meeting nice and different people and culture. one thing to know is that this kind of long distance relationship thing is tough and difficult and it should be based on 100% truthfulness from either parties to work out successfully. hope nobody is trying to ruin your marriage for selfish interest because now you're meeting yet another nigerian and traveling with him already. well, it's your call... I hope you aren't making that trip for the purpose of the divorce being recognized in Nigeria because it is so not necessary to travel over there for that.

A divorce here will be a divorce there, follow the guidelines given in your other thread, unless you have other loose ends to tie up but

going to Nigeria is not needed to finalize a divorce.

Otherwise I wish you a good trip and enjoy yourself !

so I do not need to hire a lawyer and get a Divorce in Nigeria if I have a Annulment started in the USA?!?!

Not sure if you missed my post in your other thread, I explained it in detail there.

I copied it here again in case you have not seen my previous post.

Divorce is filed per the rules of your state and there should be information online about serving him notice of the divorce. Most likely you can satisfy this via publication or Fedx serving him notice with signature. You don't need a lawyer for this but perhaps a short free consultation then do it all yourself

and you don't have to travel to Nigeria to complete the divorce.

You can send the divorce petition visa Fedx and when he signs it shows on the web site the person signed for the letter, then print it out as evidence the person was served.

You can also place the divorce piblication in an online Nigerian newspaper.

As to your thread about canceling the I-130, I assume you just recently filed due to your recent marriage in Nov 2014, there is no sample letter,

just write a short statement to USCIS that you are canceling/withdrawing the petition.

Include a copy of your NOA1 if you have it.

Include both of your names, DOB's , address....

If you want an annulment instead divorce then confirm with a free consultation from a lawyer in regards to your state's requirements, different states, different laws. Then send the papers to him to sign or go with the publication if he does not want to sign anything.

If you want to marry a Nigerian in the future make very sure that you wait quite a while in between relationships because Lagos does not

look too kindly on short gaps between marriages. If your annulment is valid here then it is valid in Nigeria. Again, confirm the law of your state.

Make sure you have a reason to base your annulment on, here is the law for your state Wisconsin ( as per your profile)

Curious, did any of your Nigerian/Ghana friends tell you that you need to travel to Nigeria to hire a lawyer to complete the annulment/divorce ?

That would be incorrect.

Be careful that you are not exploited for some gain to someone somewhere in this travel plan.

In many years on the boards here I have never read a single post saying someone had trouble with an annulment filed here, even when wanting to marry

another Nigerian ( not assuming you want to but in case you ever would want to) Nigerian courts would honor your annulment if it is valid here.

Hope someone comes along who actually went through it to 100% confirm their own experience.

Service request for pending AOS June 14, 2016, tier 2 said performing background checks.
Expedite request for EAD/AP Aug 3, 2016, Aug10 notification >request was received, assigned, completed. RFE letter requesting evidence for expedite, docs faxed Aug18

*Service request for I-485 Aug 3, 2016, Aug11 notification> request was assigned. Service request Dec 2, 2016.
AOS Interview letter received Aug 12, 2016

AOS Interview September 21, 2016.

Second Biometrics appointment letters received for EAD and AOS on Aug 15, 2016 for Aug 17 ( 2 day notice).

Second Biometrics completed Aug 17, 2016

Third Biometrics appointment letter received Aug 19, 2016 for Sept. 1, 2016. WTH ?!

EAD/AP (renewal) approval Aug 22, 2016, NOA2 received Aug 25, 2016

Renewal EAD in production notification text and online, expedite successful 4 days after RFE request response was faxed, Aug25mailed,Aug29received.

Sept. 21 Interview, 2 hour interview, we were separated and asked about 50 questions each for an hour each. IO was firm but professional, some smiles.
Several service requests made, contacted Senator and Ombudsman. Background checks still pending.
July 21, 2017 HOME VISIT.  Went well. Topic thread in AOS forum.
Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.
