Green card questions...

Thanks Dave...I appreciate the insight...you're right...I'm just hurting because I bought this on myself and now theres nothing I can do but to move on...again, I appreciate the informative info you shared.

Dave sorry one more question, you know how you said if we divorce before he renews the green card, he can ask for the waiver...so what does that mean, I dont have to do anything in regards to that right? he has to show that our marriage was entered in good faith, right? what if I feel he didnt...especially now with things that are surfacing just in the last few months...I'm finding things that he was not honest with me about...

He already has a 10-year green card. If you divorce, he can still file for citizenship in 2017. He does not "need" you for any of his immigration processes from now on.

If you already removed the conditions on his card, he doesn't need any waiver or anything else. He has his 10 year green card and could renew it on his own when it expires (which is NOT now.) He would only need you if he were to get citizenship based off your marriage. I agree with Dave that is what your husband is trying to do. However, he can wait until 5 years and become a citizen on his own without any help or relationship evidence from you.

They will not deport him. They will not take away his green card. You are on the hook for the I-864 until one of the conditions are met. That's it.
