Having difficulty figuring out how to correct the record properly on i94 entries and exits. B-2 visa holder visits US regularly every other month or 2 while living on a study permit in Canada.

The B-2 holder visited in April 2014 through land entry, and then took a quick weekend trip to Vancouver by air and returned by air same weekend to the US. Left the US by land in early June, but didn't turn in I94 then when it was expiring 10 days later in June 2014. Left for Europe for the summer of 2014 and then returned to Canada in August 2014 and turned the I94 into Canadian customs in Toronto. B-2 Visa holder then visited US again in September and was issued a new I94 upon entry. B-2 holder has since sent the newest i94 back after return to canada in January 2015. B-2 holder is worried the old mistake of not turning in the June expiring I94 upon leaving may affect future visits and wants to correct it. The online i94 status shows no exit into Canada from June 2014.

Can the holder go to say Detroit or Niagara and correct it at Port of Entry there in person with evidence of being out of country with visa stamps and bank records, or must the holder mail this information Akron?

I'm leaning towards the best option is to mail correcting documents with evidence (but lost I94 since Canadian customs has it) to Akron, but B-2 holder thinks it will be quicker just to visit a port of entry and get it corrected there.

I thought they had stopped issuing physical I 94s, perhaps they do at land borders?
