Hi All

I have my medical at the Frankfurt physician on 3 March and was just wondering if anyone had any useful info regarding wait times, car parking access, stuff to take with me etc? I am scheduling my interview two weeks after my medical (as advised by the Consulate), but is this definitely enough time for the medical results to be processed and sent to the Consulate? Also, how much does the basic medical cost?

Any feedback would be welcome.

Thanks!

:)

Two weeks is fine, my results were at the consulate by the following working day.

I got there at about 8am four people in front of me and was done by 09:30

They are very fast. There is street parking but it's a residential area and the roads are small so may have a search for a space ( my hotel was 15min walk from there so double check on parking)

Take your vaccination records as they need this, your German medical insurance card, your Case number sent in the letter from consulate (I took the letter with me) you will fill out a medical questionnaire to start and then pay, then x-rays and blood test & pee in a cup lol. (In Nov 2014 it cost 180.00) also your address of where you will stay in USA

Then back up stairs for a quick check and talk with the doctor who will advise you of what she found if anything and what she will do with the information and gives you a copy of the documents listing your vaccinations and the CD with your x-rays on it

Good luck!

Hi there... Is it the German Passport size or the American format (as we had to sent with the 129F Petition?) thanks :)

It will be the US size, same as you sent with the petition but has to be no more than 6 months old

Good luck!

Hmm just a thought....I'm British and don't have a German medical insurance card, I'm on my husbands's military Orders so I guess I will take a copy of our health insurance document. I hope that won't be a problem. Lucky we don't have to stay in hotel, we will be driving from Wiesbaden.
