Bring mother and father to stay permenantly in USA

Hi,

Has someone ever seen any passage or known anything about bringing divorced parents to USA? My husband is a US citizen. I will apply to become a citizen when it's the proper time.

After i become a citizen, i understand that i'm allowed to bring my parents to USA. Is it right? But my parents divorced when i was teenage. I'm not sure if i can bring both of them to USA to stay permenantly with me even they were divorced? Is this allowed?

Appreciate it if you could give me some suggestion or send me some links regarding this.

Yes it is allowed, there is no restriction on this, again you need to be a naturalized citizen to petition for a parent or parents.

There is nothing on the Department of state website that says that parents need to be married, only that they are related to the petitioner as legal parents.

Immediate Relatives of U.S. Citizens (IR): The spouse, widow(er) and unmarried children under 21 of a U.S. citizen, and the parent of a U.S. citizen who is 21 or older.
