Hey guys!Just wanted to share that after being in the US for about 6 months and ignoring the pre approved offers from capital one,I finally gave in tonight.I was so surprised they gave me a $3000 limit!I was so expecting a $300 to start as it is kind of soon.I have been an authorized user of my husband's cards though(Amex,Discover,Bofa,Capital One etc) and have a Macys card (only card where I am the primary).I also have credit karma so I can check my credit score especially now that they provide both the transunion and equifax scores.Just want to share this good news as this is a milestone for me.Lol.

August 25,2014 Went to SSA to see what's going on with my SSC- SAVE has my middle name together with my first name.

August 28,2014 ELIS went from ACCEPTED TO OPTIMIZED IN PROCESS (INITIAL REVIEW)

September 2 Called local ssa and was told SSC was mailed/Elis says Green CARD production has begun

September 4,2014-received ssc

September 8,2014- green card mailed/closed on elis

September 9,2014- green card received yahooo!!

Congrats, my wife just added me to her US Bank card. Hopefully that will help me get credit. None of the banks want to give me a secured card directly because I don't have my Green Card yet (only EAD)...

Thank you!Yes it does help.My longest card history shows 28 years lol because of my husband.A few months from now your credit score will be higher than your wife's.Haha
