So, our case has shown ready since 1/23/15, I had her call the embassy to double check if they were to mail packet 3 or if it was to be emailed. They told her it was to be emailed and that it could take 2-4 months? Is that a joke? Tried to call NVC this morning turns out they are closed because of the blizzard. Fingers crossed that the lady at the embassy had no idea what the heck she was talking about. Why in the world would she have to wait 2-4 months to receive an emailed packet 3? Bamboozled.

I am wondering if other in South Africa have experienced the same thing? I was ready to have this woman home with me by April, but if she cannot even get instructions on how to proceed until 2-4 months from now... it just doesn't make any sense to me.

If there are any others in South Africa who have gone or are going through the K1 process. Please make me understand what I should expect.
