hi. i got married on May 29 2014 in India. My husband filed i-130 for me on june 13th in USA and our case was approved by dec. Am in India . I checked the status using the receipt number and it is written that on dec 3 2014 our case was sent for visa processing. our case is in Nebraska

what does that mean?

when will i get my case number ?

how long should i wait ?

please help me !!

I would call NVC to see if your case was received and from the received date its taking 42 days to assign a case # but many have gotten it in 30 days. so your first step is to call to make sure it got there then ask if a case # as been assigned if not keep calling or you can wait and call on the 42nd day ..

Interview Result :APPROVED!!!
Visa Received : 4/13/2016 ( they sent us a email stating our visa was ready for pick up)

Social Security : 5/10/2016 (filed from the actual office)
State ID: 5/14/2016
Started working!!: 5/25/2016
Finally paid green card fee: 6/24/2016 ( note said we will receive it within 60 days)
Green card in hand: 7/5/2016 10 year green card we done!! 

1st king born: 6/30/2016

April 2017 update: Marriage still going strong, baby boy getting bigger. Life is good

you should call them as soon as you can. My case was sent from Nebraska to NVC on Dec 9th and was received on the 23rd, Yours was sent before mine. I am calling them this Monday Jan 26th to see if they have my case number as it about the same time frame, as most people have been getting theirs. Again your case was sent before mine, So If I am getting close I am pretty sure you are too.

either the petitioner or the beneficiary can call the NVC, as long as you have the full names and birthdate of each . When you first call you will need the receipt number from USCIS

thank u .. I ll wait for few more weeks and then will call the NVC . Is it ok for the beneficiary to call the NVC ?

sure once your case # is assigned they will ask for both birthdates and names and give them your receipt #

Did you pay your AoS? Does it show paid? Give them a call and ask them to invoice for you. You might get lucky :)
