Another domicile question

I have read all about proving to re-establish domicile on these forms, so I understand what I need to prove that. However, nowhere have I seen what to put on my Form I-864, AOS. I just received my NOA2 and am putting together this form.

I currently live in Canada with my Canadian spouse, and have for the past 7 years as a permanent resident. I plan to move to the US on the same date he is admitted. I have proof to this effect. My question is, if I am going the "re-establish domicile" route, do I write down my domicile on the I-864 as "Canada" or "United States"?

The Consulate in Montreal is very strict in how they define domicle, meaning, they want the petitioner to already be living in the US when the beneficiary interviews.

Thanks to you both. I've read all the stickys and wikis. I just didn't know whether to put Canada or US on the form. My sister-in-law was approved while both her and her husband lived in Canada so I am hoping the same will be true for me. But she could not remember what she put down on the form.

Do you have a home in the USA? Then no you put your domicile as Canada because you have not established a domicile in the USA, which I suggest doing ASAP.

Okay, thank you. I have signed a lease for an apartment and maintained by US bank account. We cannot afford to move at separate times as we cannot keep up two places to live. I am hoping things go smoothly for us.

Do you have kids? Can you enroll them in school? Have you looked for a job? Can you get a new driver's license for the US apartment and get a voter registration card?

If you have a home in the USA, then yes you can write down the US address and domicile. If the lease is active (aka you're paying rent.)
