Why does getting a NBI take so long

My wife tried to submit the NBI form online, but they never sent her the email she needed for appointment. She spoke with other there that also had issues.

So she left at 6 am yesterday to take a 2 hour bus ride to get her NBI so we thought. All she got was a number and a form for the next day as they only give 180 numbers a day at her location. So she went home on another 2 hour bus ride.

She went back today on another 2 hours bus ride for her early appointment and they have her and many others sitting outside waiting. At this point were not even sure she will get it today either. The government seems to be so inefficient.

I wonder if Manila is faster as they have more locations. If she doesn't get it today I can take her next month when I came to Manila.

We got fiancee's NBI in Olongapo 2 weeks ago. We were in and out of the place in about 30 minutes or so. The applicant fills out the form, the NBI workers type that information in the computer, take the applicants picture and fingerprints of all fingers, then they hit print to give us the NBI and we were out of there after paying 120 pesos. There was no line that day ....

Yes now I found our she will have to go back a third day as she got a hit. They want her back next Thursday.

It seems a lot of people are getting their nbi clearance... the online appointment does not exist here iligan...

Learned the hard way. I tried to renew my clearance...

Lo and behold.... I was asked to go back monday as they can no longer accommodate me last friday...

It sounds like it depends on the office. Last time my wife said it was much faster, but it was a different office.

Are the Manila office faster and if so which one?
