USCIS Wait Times

Isn't USCIS service getting worse every month? I had filed I-90 in May,2014 sometime. The USCIS site is saying that they are processing applications received by July 1,2014.I know that's not very accurate and varies case to case. I made case inquiry on Dec 5,2014 because my case was outside of normal processing time. When I initially made the inquiry, after submission it said you will hear a reply by Dec 27,2014. I called around 15th and the guy said you will hear reply by 20th because we updated information. I didn't hear any reply and called again around 21st I was told please allow us at least a month to hear a reply. I finally got the email today which is posted below. I had made up infopass appointment for tomorrow because I really need to get my green card so I can apply for N-400. I will also post my outcome tomorrow from Infopass. They are telling me to wait another 6 months.

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. Presently, we anticipate that delay to be approximately 6 months from the date of this notice. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from USCIS by that date, please contact customer service at the number provided below.

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing.
