Awesome! We were approved in 17 days so I will be closely following your case. Was hoping the NVC moved as fast but after getting NOA2 on Dec. 17th, nothing yet.

Congrats! I called the NVC this morning. The rep said to give it at least 35 days, and give them another call.

17 days? and you're not Philippines??

..CSC moving that quickly?!

no wonder us TSC people feel such anger right now

this sytem is completely fcked up.. just keep praying

jus gotta keep praying

Well, 13 days if we're not counting weekends. My Fiance is from the Philippines, but she lives in Qatar.

CSC must be staying on top of things. I hope yours goes smoothly!

Congrats on a fast approval!

Thanks! It's a blessing!

Congrats on that. My petition hits the USCIS today and so my countdown begins. Trying to stay positive and it sure helps to hear stories like this!!

Thank you! Good luck on yours!

Congratulations and much blessing be with you on your journey.

Thank you for the kind words. Much luck to you as well.

Congrats dear

Thanks!

& it's the Service Centers. CSC has been cranking them out as long as I can remember, whereas TSC is just processing at a snail's pace. Building huge backlogs & slowly grinding away.

It ebbs and flows, not but 2 years ago all I-129Fs were taking 6-9 months.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Hello everyone!

I mailed my i-129 on 12/02/2014, received my NOA1 12/08/2014, and my NOA2 12/24/2014! An awesome Christmas gift! I checked the California processing time, and it shows 5 months! Now, I'm scrambling to gather all my documents to send to my Fiance.

NVC said I need to wait 30 days for my case number, and my packet being sent to the US Embassy where my Fiance resides. Will i be receiving an instruction packet from the NVC? Thanks for you help!

What country you chasing a visa through? Procedures are different for each embassy.

Hey viraj, I believe if you live in California, your packet will likely be forwarded to the CSC. You'll find out once you receive your NOA1. Good luck!

it caught me by surprise, reading about others waiting for months. I told my Fiance it'll take up to 5 months for CSC to process it, I checked the Case status before leaving work on the 24th, just for the heck of it, and tada! case was approved! I hope the US Embassy in Qatar can be as fast!

All applications do get sent to the Dallas lockbox. USCIS then sends some to CSC, depending on where the petitioner is from. According to your profile, you're in CA, so your case will go from the Dallas lockbox back to CA to be processed at the CSC.

Yes, NVC (usually) sends a letter to the petitioner that provides you with the case #. Of course most people don't care about that letter because they either a) got the case # from calling NVC and/or b) were contacted by the embassy about the petition.
