That definitely seems to be true. I just added up the populations for all the states. Per wikipedia, the CSC states have a population of about 130 million and TSC has about 180 million. That means that TSC handles nearly 30% more than CSC does. I guess with that difference TSC just keeps getting further and further behind each month.

They are not done in order. There are many factors that play into the actual processing times. Factors we don't know much about. But some of it involves checks done for higher fraud countries.

Edit: Here is the map that shows the dividing line of which SC handles the petition after it leaves the Dallas Lockbox: post-146700-0-64294900-1365894024.jpg

What I meant was that I'm pretty sure they claim to go 'in order' by months, hahah. They don't just jump from July to September filers, and sure, countries require different things.. but that doesn't necessarily mean it causes a huge delay. Hence why I put it 'in order' in quotations...

Yeah, you have two things going for you: your case will go to CSC and your fiance is in the Philippines. That's like winning the K-1 visa lottery ;).

The only potential f-up is CSC failing to send your file to NVC in a timely manner. I'd say it has happened to about 10% of us since September.

Thanks for quick reply, usms. This is actually quite ironic news for me, as I figured the Phil would be among the slowest places from which to get a K1.

Conversely, given that they cashed my check over two weeks ago and I've yet to hear Word 1 from them, I'm not going to celebrate this right now as anything other than potentially good news.

Well they might be slow once it reaches the embassy, I don't know. I should have just specified: the USCIS stage is expedited :).

Yeah, smart move on holding off the celebration. Have you not even received a NOA1 yet from them?

Actually I understood your meaning USCIS stage from the beginning, usms. And if I could choose expedition btw that stage and the embassy stage, I'd definitely go with the USCIS stage. ;)

No, haven't received letter yet. That's actually what brought me to this site. I figured it would have arrived by two weeks following their cashing of my check, and when it didn't, I began searching the Web for answers and found this terrific forum.

How far are you guy along in the visa process? I would guess/hope that things are faster in Indonesia as, for whatever reason, fewer Americans seem to sponsor Indonesians as compared Filipinas/Filipinos....

It was going fine until USCIS, for whatever reason, failed to send our approved application to the NVC. Finally reached NVC yesterday. From what I've read on here, once it gets to the embassy, it is super quick (since there are so few applicants in Indonesia as you noted), so my fiancee could be here as soon as next month if NVC gets my file out within a week or so.

Check was cashed by USCIS on December 29th. Petition was mailed December 15th. As of January 13, no NOA1.

As other posters have mentioned, I'm hoping it was just the holiday backlog that have delayed the NOA1. I'll be sure to update on the board when/if it arrives.
