Hi Oluwaese,

Both my husband and I live outside the Us, so I guess it was expedited through the CSC because of that.

Hi guys:

I-130 was approved on January 8th 2015 (as per website). Hopefully it won't be too long to hear from NVC :-)

Hi Sunbee1985,

Wanted to ask you if you called NVC yet to see if they received your case.

I called them today and said they don't have my case there yet... so was wondering how yours is going.

Thanks

No, I haven't called them yet. I figured it's still too early for them to have done anything. I received my Notice of Action in the mail though on Wednesday. I think NVC will have a number for us beginning February.

Hello, we filed on December 1st, NOA1 on December 8th from VSC. The wait times on the USCIS website seem to all say 5 months, but the processing dates on this website (here) show that they're processing much faster than 5 months. It looks like we could get NOA2 in the next 5 weeks, which puts it around 3 months. I'm trying to determine which one is more accurate. This website or the timeframes posted on the USCIS website. Any guidance is much appreciated.

Hello there,

Well, I am new to the website too... But I can tell you that in my case ( California Service Center), the approximate processing time in this website was pretty accurate. I guess it all depends on your very particular case off course... Both my husband and I live abroad, so what I've read here is that those types of petitions get expedited and that's why it didn't take as long.

Wish you all the best for your process and I am sure things will be pretty fast for you as well.

I think the processing dates here are generally accurate. I called the customer service support center a few weeks ago and spoke with a Tier 1 agent. She gave me the date the VSC was currently processing (for I-130 petitions) and it was only a few days ahead of what was listed on this website. God's willing we will all get approved soon and on to the next step- NVC. Good luck all!

Thanks for the response. We saw your previous post about the fast turnaround you all got at the California Service Center and we're quite frankly jealous. hahah ... Congratulations to you. We're just hoping to get something in the next few weeks and no RFEs.

Sadly, my update is not an approval. I wasn't expecting anything this soon however. But I did get notice that our case was transferred. Not sure where yet; assume it will say on the paper notice coming in the mail. I hope it means good news and not bad!

Hello People!!!

My case was approved on 1/27/2015. My question is how will I know that NVC received it? Like would I get email or mail? Or do I have to call them to know the status?

Thank you!!

Hi There,

Congrats on your approval. Yes, you have to call them in about 1 week and see if they received it.

In my case, I've called once, about a week ago or so and they haven't received it yet. They do say that you should wait about 35 days before calling them, but it is up to you.

Best
