U.S. Department of State
NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Administrative Processing

Application ID or Case Number: MNL201************ Case Creation Date: 22-Dec-2014 Status Updated Date: 06-Jan-2015

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved after administrative processing, your passport will be delivered by our contracted courier to the address you specified when you booked your interview.

For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Manila.

You need to re-read what the message is stating: "Your case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing." Your visa is neither approved, or denied, at this point in time. It is still being worked on. When(if) approved, it will be sent to you. You are in a state of limbo pending a decision.

AP can take a couple days, or it can take several weeks. You won't be close to picking up your visa until your CEAC status says ISSUED. Once it says ISSUED it typically takes 4 to 10 business days to receive.

There is no way of knowing. The AP can take a few days weeks or months. Till the site shows issued you will not know.

In our case we went into AP for 3 days before the status changed to ISSUED, and then 4 days later we picked up the visa at MOA. This was our personal experience and of course yours may be similar or different, no one really knows.
