Hey guys,

So my fiancé and I sent our I-129f to the Dallas Lockbox by USPS priority mail with signature confirmation and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday but the USPS tracking hasn't been updated yet and I'm starting to worry...do USCIS even have people at the lockbox to sign for the package? How did you guys send yours and when did you get confirmation? We sent the g-154 with it too so not sure how long to wait for the notice either

We sent via USPS. Got confirmation 3 days later that was received by USCIS. A week later my husband was received NOA-1 via email and one week after that my husband received NOA-1 hardcopy via mail.

I did the same. USCIS doesn't have people at the Lockbox that will have to sign when you do confirmation. USPS is who actually confirms that it was delivered to the Lockbox. But they deliver all the ones that didn't require signature to the Lockbox 1st & then they start signing all the ones that required it. So they get delivered last in a given day. This is what I was told by USPS when I decided to go ahead & get the signature confirmation. Even though they said that to me, I still requested signature confirmation. I think I got my confirmation 1 day after it was scheduled to be delivered. Then 2 or 3 days later, I got NOA1 email.

Our petition was sent on December 24th and we will haven't received NOA1. I'm wondering if the holidays interfered - did USCIS Have days off?

Yes, and so did USPS. Remember that an actual person has to do the data entry for petitions they receive. I would give them about another week and then call if you haven't heard anything. Did you get a tracking number or delivery confirmation?

We had also sent the petition on the 24th of December- usps with confirmation. On usps web site it said the letter has been delivered on the 30th of December and we got a text with NOA-1 on the 2nd of January. However no hard copy of the NOA-1 yet and neither can we see the case at egov.uscis.gov -it says case not found. Waiting...

They had December 25-26 off along with January 1st. I also have a hunch they were understaffed the last 2 weeks like most offices are during the holidays.

Thanks for the replies. The tracking info has just been updated. It's now saying it's at the Dallas 75266 post office and is available for pick-up...I'm assuming that someone from USCIS will be picking it up? This whole delivering to the lockbox has totally confused me.

Thanks yall! How do you check to see status?

I am hoping our NAO1 comes by the end of this week

When you receive NOA1, it will give you a receipt number. Use that receipt number on the USCIS case status website:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

It takes a couple days to update and show up in the system after the electronic NOA1 has been delivered to you, but mine finally showed up in the system yesterday (2 business days after I received electronic NOA1).

I still haven't received my hardcopy yet, but I imagine it will be in my hands before the work week is up.

Congrats and good luck on your journey! x
