I was wondering about a nice place to take my wife after her interview. We'really staying in the Malate area and I'd like a romantic place to celebrate the anticipated approval.

I have stay at the Hyatt hotel close to the embassy, but I can not remember the restaurants in that area. Another thing you could consider if you want a romantic night for you and her is the manila bay romantic cruise. That is what I did for my wife when I propose to her in person. I know of a restaurant that's called The Harbor View. It sits on the dock, you have water and city views. You can order fresh seafood. It's on the road to The Manila Hotel. It's on the left right before the hotel. We actually walked back to the hotel after.

Depending on your level of fitness, this can be considering walking distance from the Embassy/Luneta. Otherwise, take a cab. Fairly decent Spanish/Spanish-Filipino Cuisine. I've taken my wife here myself a couple of times. Paella's good.

LMAO! I'm learning that myself. It's 15deg in Kansas City and my wife tells me over the phone all the time "It's cold!". Lol.

We start the day tomorrow with a midnight high of 12 and drop all day to 2 above.
