In my country, after case number in CEAC showed " ready" I've started to submit DS 160, made account, paid for visa interview myself, without waiting instruction packet...

Same here as well. Case arrived at the consulate in Abu Dhabi on December 17th, waiting for our letter with the interview date and directions on what to bring. So nervous here until the the big day..

I would recommend calling the NVC and asking about the interview date! The NVC told me on 11/28 that our interview was 12/17 and my fiance did not receive a letter from the London Embassy until Dec 10th...if I would not have called he would only have had a weeks notice for the interview!
