1. Yes, include the EAD (employment form). It is free when you submit it with your AOS/I-485, which costs $1070. You should also include an application for Advanced Parole (AP), which would allow you to return to the USA if you had to leave before receiving your GC. That is also free.

2. Forum for AOS case=filing progress reports:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/131-adjustment-of-status-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

And forum for general AOS questions:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/7-adjustment-of-status-green-card-from-family-based-visas/

I recommend following the AOS guide too. For me, it seemed to require more documents than the K-1/I-129f application. AOS guide:

Still waiting for our visas. Been in the 'issued' status since July 2nd

Some of the consulates and embassies are super behind. My guess would be your embassy is just trying to catch up. Hopefully they get it ready soon. If not by this week I would definitely check up with them. Good luck!

we just checked from NVC about K1 FIANCE VISA. they forwarded our case to Embassy at 30 th June 2015. Now today i just filled up DS 160 form and submitted. But i am confused about DS 260. can you please confirm whether i should submit DS 160 or 260?. becoz on the website DS 160 is related to nonimmigration Visa and DS 260 is related to immigration visa? what is all about? explain plz

K1 is a non-immigrant visa, so DS-160 is the right one.
