Our I-130 was approved recently and I starting to feel anxiety over my husbands interview. We was denied k-1 visa in January 2014. I flew to India in April and we got married.I would think after denial we would be approved , but I wondering if this is wishful thinking. My husband said his interview went well till they asked about his family feelings on our marriage and my husband (fiance at the time) told the truth. His dad wants him to marry a indian hindu girl. We got married and my husband lost everything? Will they still deny us again? Does anybody know who been aporoved after being denied K-1 visa?

He was honest. I think that's how he has to be.

I wish him luck in the interview. I've read several people who their K-1 wasn't not approved and they have to take the spouse visa path.

Someone with some experience will say better.

But lots of proof and evidence is always good to have and a solid true love relationship of course

Been there before.. Happy to help if I can but I'm not on here much. U can review my posts .. Or private msg me..my husband and I have experience in this. Biggest piece of advice is get in as many visits as you can and above all go to the interview.. It speaks volumes. We had few red flags age race etc but it is possible. Wish you the best

Yes, A lot of people change to spousal visa strategy after K-1 fails. Most of them got approved at spousal because they know the couple is legit. Most of fraudsters give up after K-1 fails. Good luck.

I think this will all come down to the officer who does the interview..,.,which way do they lean, the India culture, or what the American West wants.,.,.to me it will come down to the culture, beliefs of the officer(s).,.,..,

I dont think its none of their business how his parents feel, as long as you both are legally married you have nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't exactly say there's nothing to worry about because OP got married but it definitely helps. OP still needs to overcome the reason for the K-1 denial. JMO

Since you already got married K-1 denial is not an issue... Now he just need to convince the CO that your marriage is real ... Like others said more visits will be a great plus...

Hmmm. who do you think they are to decide who are you going to marry??it's not lawful.. how come there's a parent's that way.. forcing own children and then will end up to many problems.. then divorce..

So all the people who choose their own lived together for the whole life ??? :)

For Immigration purposes it does matter...
