I suggest that this form is completed prior to your medical. In fact, you will need to complete this form to schedule your interview at the embassy. Suggestion only on when to complete.

You should complete the DS160 prior to medical. I the petitioner completed the DS160 for my fiancee. Then i went over and had my fiancee go over it. We each checked the the form at least two times before submitting it. Technically or legally the Beneficiary or fiancee to receive visa is supposed to complete the DS160 and digitally sign it (submit DS160)

Do not forget you need to print out the confirmation page wit BAR Code and your postAl cure and take with you to the interview.
