CR1 visa interview - Islamabad

My wife will be having an interview on December 16th at Islamabad embassy.

I am panicking because I saw somewhere that if you do not spend enough time with your spouse after marriage you will be put into AP.

So here are the details, I went to Pakistan this year on January 18th and got married on January 24th and came back to USA on February 1st. I did not visit her again since I only get 12 vacation days per year. I do talk to her on skype everyday and I financially support her as well. We do have evidence of bonafide marriage/ongoing relationship. Infact, I did not even send anything extra to USCIS only joint bank account letter and I only sent required documents at NVC. I have not encountered any problem at USCIS or NVC stage with RFEs or checklists respectively.

Can CO raise an issue during my wife's interview that why your husband hasn't spend a lot of time with you and did not visit you again and put the case in AP? Just wanted to get feedback from people who had a similar experience as me.

Thank you in advance.

I doubt it because like you said, you only get so much time off from work. If the CO questions her regarding that, she can explain that reason.

Just to be on the safe side, make sure she takes prints of your Skype sessions and/or sms/chats.

That helped a lot with my friends case. And since you do support her financially, that can be proven as well.

It is considered spamming when you post the same thread multiple times. Members will answer, you just need to give it some time.

My husband just recently had his interview (nov 7) and CO made a suspicious face when he asked my husband- why did i only stay for 17 days :ranting: and my husband gave the same answer that I have to work and because i was handling all the paperwork for our case...and at the end of the interview CO told my husband that if I had been there at the interview with him it would have been better (I don't know why he said this if the interview letter clearly says the petitioner is not required to be at the interview!)...and gave him the 221g white slip for AP!

But thats just our case and everyones case is different...

Thank you.

You will be fine since it's kind of unrealistic to fly to Pakistan twice in the same calendar year. It isn't exactly a trip to the mall.

Tell her to take evidence of a bonafide marriage with her- gift receipts, wire transfers, bank statements, phone logs, facebook screen shots, Skype logs, phone bills and plenty of wedding pics and pics of you guys in a casual environment.

It will be okay. The other posters comment about her husband getting AP is pretty irrelevant. 90% of males in Islamabad are placed under AP anyway. The same does not apply for female applicants.

Thank you Nauman. As a bonafide evidence of ongoing relationship/marriage, she will be taking wedding and casual environment pictures, skype call log, money transfer receipts, joint bank account letter, monthly statements of joint account, life insurance policy where she is listed as beneficiary, her airplane ticket and my airplane ticket because I want to be with her at her POE.

I hope that will be enough to prove our relationship to CO on the day of interview.

You're worrying too much. Inshallah it will be okay. You shouldn't have trouble. The CO's in Islamabad are reasonable people from my own experience and that of others. My wife had no problems whatsoever. They didn't even ask to see the other evidence. They only looked at a few wedding pics.
