I am Asian male and about to get married with an African American wife. I've read some red flags about marriage fraud so I am still a little concerned. My marriage is genuine but do you think IO can make it hard for our interview because of this.

To be honest, interracial marriage ratio between an Asian male and African American is kinda compared to others.

What country are you from? You situation might raise more red flags in some countries but not in others.... More details would help.... I think you might be over-thinking it a bit too...

I am in an interracial marriage, I am Caucasian and my wife is Filipina and we didn't have any problems as it is fairly common for the Philippines.

I don't think an interracial marriage will be an issue.... The only potential red flag is how long it has been since you arrived on F1 and getting married. It could be a problem if it is really short....

If you were applying for a fiance visa and still in Vietnam, I suspect there might have been more issues regarding your different ethnicities/cultures. However, since you are adjusting status in the US, I would hope that there is less of an issue due to that aspect of your relationship. That said, my impression is that some states are more tolerant than others when it comes to interracial marriages.

In any case, if you can show commingling of your lives together and a strong relationship history, that's the best defence against any objections that might be raised by the adjudicator.
