I just received my NOA2 yesterday. It was a total of 10 days between my NOA1 and NOA2. My petition was at the California Service Center. I guess I got pretty lucky!

Thanks - now I can feel there is nothing strange about my case as my NOA1 and NOA2 = 8 days (so fast that I never heard before)

No chat logs - my thinking is that - we just made sure we met the requirements (proofs that we want to marry with 90 days and we did meet 2 years ago in persons). Unless I had had criminal records or I had married before, I would have had to provide more.

Vietnam.

Hi :) my advise is to check everything :) in our experience, we thought we sent everything they need, only to find out that we got an RFE notice :( right now, we are so anxious to know what is our lacking requirement...

That is true because our fate depends the person who is assigned to work on our case - some might be picky. We were glad that process went quickly in a few days. To be honest, we are sure not sure why our case got approved in a week - a miracle, specially the country is Vietnam - not Canada or Mexico.

I just rechecked my case -https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do- they just changed their website interface.

It is naive to think that you can control with your "how you met explanation" how quickly your file gets approved. People have randomly been in approved in short times as long as I've been observing it.

So, to answer your question, my second I-130 was approved within 24 hours.

See, that's really helpful information for you/anyone else to know.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Congrats!!

8 days is unheard of. May be now you buy a lottery ticket too ;-)

Mine took exactly 6 months 1 day and was a painfully long waiting. Happy for it as you set a precedence that it can be as fast. The usual time is 2-6 months in general.

I have no idea why things are not consistent because it would be frusterating to wait longer than others. We recieved NOA2 in 14 days from California. The official date was October 31 and the letter arrived Nov 7th. I was shocked because I never saw an email message.

Yeah it mostly depends on where you file from and what conditions you're in etc plus which service centre you go to.

It's no doubt a tiring process and needs a lot of patience and nerves to overcome the frustration it generates.

How's your NVC process ?

Where did you file from? was yours dealt with in California? I heard they do them faster in California.
