Yes, the I-129F is not an application for a visa, it is a petition to CIS to apply for a visa. The petition does not go to your US consulate in Manila, it goes to CIS in the US.

Average approval/denial processing times for the petition are 5 to 6 months, but you being from the Philippines the process is taking between 4 to 6 weeks.

Well, it depends on where your fiance sent it from, how it was sent (normal post vs expedited) and if your fiance filled out a G-1145 form to be notified each time the case is updated.

Assuming a G-1145 form was not submitted, 2 weeks still seems like reasonable amount of time to still not have heard anything from USCIS. (You won't be hearing from the consulate until after the I-129f is approved.)

Good Luck!

Was his check cashed? Did he send the G-1145 for text or email notification? Your first response NOA1 usually should come within 2-3 weeks. This is your notification that USCIS received your petition. See this Flowchart for averages http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

Did he send the package with tracking? If so did he check the tracking information to see if USCIS did in fact receive the I-129F Package?

Thanks for the response guys. I think I just need to have more patience, lol.

Patience is the meal no one wants to eat, it's always burnt, cold and too salty.

Btw, I love the picture in the chef's hat. Too cute! :luv:

I think some clarification is needed.

To where did the petitioner send what form? Without knowing this it is hard for anyone on here to help anything.

Yes was the check or money order cashed?
