Hi,

Does anyone know how long the NVC takes to arrange the interview? My I130 was approved in Aug. Sept, NVC comes back and says they require more paperwork whereas we have sent them every piece of paper required. Then in October they come back saying they require the other PCC and not the one i sent. SO i sent them a new pcc given by the passport office. They recieved the paper on Oct 23 i believe. SO how long would it now take for them to schedule the interview. Anyone has ideas on the timelines?

what do u mean by pcc?

PCC = Passport Clearance Certificate

This is issued from the Passport office here in india at least.

We got the same situation

After u send them the papers they usually take 60 days to review it. On the completion of 60 days, if the paperwork is perfect they ll give you a case complete and then depending upon the availability in your respective consulate theyll arrange an interview for you. So you gotta wait wait and wait. We are in the same boat perhaps!!

So now i am looking into them replying in december? Sucks for me and my wife to be away this long period. I thought for spouse the paperwork is a little bit expedited.

Unfortunately not, in fact K1 visa takes lesser time thats wat i noticed. Wait for 60 days after they put your document in their system. Theres nothing else you can do! The NVC is experiencing so many backlogs that it might not be able to do things in the stipulated time period.

Have a look at my timeline. Ours got approved way back in July and we re still waiting!
