Thanks! Yeah I've read on the forum that California auto expedites petitions from citizens living abroad. It would be nice to have the NOA2 in a couple weeks! I might start working this weekend on the paperwork needed after NOA2. Good luck to y'all!

wow that would be awesome ! where did you read that?

This thread has like 42 pages in it and it was created in 2012. A majority of the people who filed the I130 petition abroad (not DCF) got their case auto expedited at the California Service Center and got an NOA2 in like 7-21 days. This is not an official policy but a trend and I hope it applies to us as well!

Thanks. Seems like Califfornia expedites when USC lives abroad too. We'll see...

I am also a USC living abroad so it would be amazing if a few of us on this thread receive our NOA2 this month!!!! I am moving home in a month to reestablish our life in the US and get employed so that hopefully I can prove financial stability. So the less time we have to be separated the better!!!

Crossing fingers for all you Nov filers!

Hi guys, I'm sending my I-130 in today! Thanks @Kels2487 for directing me over here!

My husband and I are living in Honduras...praying everything goes smoothly and we can move to the States next year! We've been married a year and a half, have a baby girl and would love for him to meet the rest of my friends and family...only a handful were able to come down for the wedding.

How many are living abroad? I'm living in Hinduras...I filed through the Chicago lock box...I had to send everything to my mom first so she could write a check for me(I don't keep my checkbook in Honduras with me as I've never had use for it)

Also living abroad in South Africa. We filed through the Chicago lock box via a courier system here. South African Post Office is having a massive strike, never able to receive our official marriage license through the post so we're praying nothing else has to be sent through them!! It's a headache.

I'm hanging in no problem wifey on the other hand wants is fast.

What normally happens next after it goes to the Texas NVC?

Also a dumb question since when I filed the petition it was for my wife and her 2 children is it worth it to send the 129F for the K-3 visa and see which ones moves faster

Also for to mention another stupid question does the Service Center actually approve the application or when I sent it to the Chicago Lockbox and the email I got stated it was approved and forwarded to the Texas Service Center.

It gets a little confusing sorry

@Kazzfolw, the 1st Email you got is the a email to confirm they got your file. It's not an approval. They forwarded it and now you're waiting to get the NOA2. Seems like K3 takes about the same time..

@familiasevilia, yep, living abroad in France with my USC husband. Sent it to Chicago and got 1st email pretty fast. Now it's in California.

@Ola123, I can't check my case online anymore, they updated the website ...
