Hi,

I was wondering if some of you who is going thru getting a K1 visa could share how long it took for NVC to receive your case after the NOA2 date.

It has been 17 days for us and they don't have it yet, just not sure if that is normal or not.

we got NOA2 at the same day. We just called NVC, they received our case yesterday(30th, OCT). have you called them yet today? it may be already there. Otherwise next week it should be there.

It seems the CSC sends approvals to NVS in batches and it is taking 2/3 weeks.

You were approved a week before my case, so hopefully by next week for you.

Just curious where is your fiancé from ? Mine is from Nikolaev Ukraine.

we got NOA2 at the same day.

We just called NVC, they received our case yesterday(30th, OCT). have you called them yet today? it may be already there. Otherwise next week it should be there.

Haha wow. I was typing up this post as i was on hold with NVC. They got our case today at 7 AM. So i answered my own question there.

Thank you for everyone's input though. I could not really find a post about this.

By the way when i called yesterday the operator told me to call back in about 2 weeks minimum so please do not always listen to what they say.

My lovely Ukrainian fiancée is from Lviv. We are also waiting for NVC to receive our file, but it was mailed 23 OCT--so shouldn't be much longer before it's in their system; hopefully next week. We received NOA2 17 October.

Shipped one week.after NOA2 and NVC received exactly 2 weeks after NOA2. NVC shipped my case to the Embassy 2 working days later.

Once the case leaves the service center, it moves very fast. The case arrived at the embassy 2 days after it left NVC and went to "Ready" status that same evening. Now that is efficient. If only the TSC could be 1/2 that efficient....

So My NOA2 is dated 16OCT2014 but I have not received any information that it was sent from CSC to NVC yet.

Should I see something on my USCIS account regarding this? Or should I just call NVC as I see someone with a 17OCT2014 date is already at NVC? Thanks.

Nothing will be updated on your USCIS account. You have to call NVC and tell them your USCIS case number to find out if they have received it.

If you call them on Monday i think your case will already be there

Our NOA2 was Oct 1st and we still have no info on our case :( our friends got theirs NOA2 Sept 19th and as well have no information regarding their documents and what is going on :(

My fiancée Emilia and I met in October 2009 in Wrocław, Poland while I was doing “study abroad” after graduating High School in California. We started dating in the beginning of December 2009. In September of 2010, I went back to Poland to start a full time study program at the University of Arts in Poznań. I decided to study in Poland because I wanted to be close to Emilia. In October of 2012, Emilia decided to move to Poznań to live with me.

I-129F NOA2 : 2014-10-03

NVC Received : 2014-10-17

Date Case #, IIN, and BIN assigned : 2014-10-17

NVC Left : 2014-10-21

I understand ours moved through NVC a lot faster than normal. Not sure why.

But I would start to call at the two week mark and continue to every two - three business days, at least you will know if they received it or not. We got our official letter from NVC stating our packet was shipped to the Consulate approximately 8 days after our packet left NVC.

Can anyone tell me the duration of getting visa. How long it takes to give visa from submitting I130 to Interview date?
