Good.I support this.

I also support up to 6 months unpaid leave. If an employer wants to give more...I also support that.

Are you also a fan of endurance challenges? Like being whipped and having hot wax poured on your nipples?

A person would surely have to be masochistic to not want paid holiday from an employer.

I think it bears repeating: the US is the only country in the developed world to not mandate a single day paid vacation or paid maternity leave.

It's all about those poor emot-airquote.gif job creators emot-airquote.gif. Always gotta look out for them.

It's unreal how many people in this country have fallen for this cr@p.

Hearing all these stories, I'm grateful for the vacation plan the military has in place. 2.5 days a month of paid leave, 30 days a year and we can hold up to 60(75 in some cases) before we have to use/lose it.

I swear some people think that employees having any sort of statutory rights is equivalent to forming a union, which is equivalent to communism, which is a stone's throw away from totalitarian takeover of the USA.

The nefarious end-game being to:

  • take people's guns away
  • bulldoze every church and replace it with an abortion clinic
  • impose mandatory sex-education lessons for kids involving gay sex.

Yea I know, all those evil small business owners that are barely scraping by in this ####### economy should definitely be paying someone to not work for 3 months a year. I'm sure mom and pop can afford that.

They'll get by, just like small business owners in the rest of the developed world. Tired of the same old excuses, to get out of doing the right thing.

There aren't as many of these small businesses scraping by as you'd like to think. The amount of deductions and write offs a business can make each year are usually worth the cost of being in business before any business is even conducted. I'm of the belief that any business that is continuously "scraping by" probably shouldn't be in business to begin with, they end up costing the taxpayers more than they are worth when they do finally go bankrupt.
