NVC is apparently quite horrible at responding to anything you send them. I sent them an RFE reply 24 days ago and haven't gotten a response from them yet as to whether they got my packet or not, same with someone else who sent their RFE reply a week earlier than I even did. They don't respond to everything from everyone...mostly the generic stuff like generating NOA's and RFE's. They aren't required to respond. You could try calling the IV unit at the embassy your case has been forwarded to, otherwise it shouldn't be too big of a deal as long as the name is spelled correctly on your visa. Just be sure to double check at your interview and make them aware that there was a discrepancy on their part regarding your surname.

You don't need a new case number when all they need to do is correct a typo.

Hi.

My names were mixed up and the NVC asked me to send a cyear of the picture page of my passport with the request to have the names corrected. I didn't get an email to let me know that they received my letter or that the names were corrected. It was only when I called the nvc they said it was corrected. Try calling the NVC to confirm

Petitioner or Beneficiary name misspelled?

You have your MNL # ? You have been dealing with NVC since August on this? If you already have your interview scheduled NVC does not have your case file, it is in Manila now.

You can get everything correct at the embassy during the interview, just complete the DS-160 correctly and setup your account online with correct spelling. Relax.
