Getting Married after K1 Arrival

Can someone point me to the correct guide / information on what the steps are (acquire marriage license, etc.).

Enter the US

Have fun

Wait two-three weeks and apply for SSN (should be done before 4 weeks remain on I-94 or else you'll have to wait for the GC to apply) Not needed for marriage.

Apply for marriage license

Get married

Obtain stamped marriage certificate (have more than one sent)

File for AOS

Have more fun

When you get EHD or GC, apply for a job.

When you get GC, go to SS office and apply for updated SS card.

my wife applied for S.S.# one day after POE and rec`d card 6 days later.
