URGENT: Obama Admin Will Issue Travel Bans… But It’s Not What You Think

Looks like the administration is finally issuing quarantine requirements. Unfortunately, it's only on our own...

Despite numerous influential voices and politicians calling for it, and growing public support, President Obama still refuses to institute a travel ban on people coming from the Ebola-ravaged West African region.

However, he has authorized a “travel ban” on US troops leaving the region, requiring them to be held in quarantine for 21 days, if they are suspected of exposure to the deadly virus, according to the Daily Caller.

Wouldn't his plan to spread Ebola across America work better if he just let them come back with Ebola?

He has a plan?

He's working on that:

Fort Campbell Troops On Ebola Mission Won’t Get Full Protective Gear

Troops from the 101st Airborne Division leading the military response to Ebola in West Africa will only need gloves and masks to protect themselves from the deadly virus, so said Gen. David Rodriguez at a Pentagon briefing Wednesday.

“They don’t need the whole suit – as such – because they’re not going to be in contact with any of the people,” the commander of U.S. troops in Africa said.

Soldiers from the 101st Airborne will primarily be building hospitals, ultimately leading what could be a contingent of 4,000 American service members. They’ll be housed either in tent cities at military airfields or in Liberian Ministry of Defense facilities, Rodriguez said.

Soldiers’ health will be monitored through surveys and taking their temperature on their way in and out of camps. If a service member does get sick, Rodriguez said they will be flown home immediately for treatment.

But US servicemen dying from insufficient precautions doesn't bother you so much. <_<

They're expendable dontchaknow. But at least we will secure our borders against our own (which actually makes sense), just not anyone else from the region.

Has that happened or are you blowing smoke and BS again?

Did you read the story? They're sending our guys over only with masks & gloves. Know how it's thought one of the nurses contracted ebola? From insufficient coverage of her neck. As I say, "Insufficient precautions", especially in light of CDC's and other 'experts' lack of insight and foresight into proper protocols.

Why not read the material presented before starting in with "smoke & BS"?

Can't you answer the question? How many of our soldiers have been infected by Ebola?

The answer is none. They are there to build medical centers, not to interact with Ebola patients. Just like nurses here don't wear full protective equipment when they go home. They wear it when they are exposed to patients.

I suggest you take your own advice and read the damn article.

Do you not understand the concept of "precautions"? I was under the impression you were somehow involved with health care.

I guess I don't get the argument from some here that if it hasn't happened yet, we shouldn't worry about it. I'm not talking specifically about the scenario of soldiers being sent to West Africa. Just in general. Same thing with the voter ID thing. The argument from some is that voter fraud is so minimal, that we shouldn't be concerned. What's wrong with being proactive concerning this Ebola outbreak? I don't see anything wrong with issuing a temporary travel ban until this whole thing is under control. Of course it's not foolproof, but at least it would reduce the chances of people spreading the infection to the U.S. It's apparently much easier than we're being told to contract this virus since two nurses have tested positive. Also, whenever you see govt. staff transporting these folks, they're dressed from head to toe in these space suits, so there's surely a reason for that. If it was no big deal, they'd be dressed in normal clothing.
