I am going crazy! received an e-mail from the embassy saying that I need to complete my DS-160 and application of readiness. #######? I've done them! Lol! I did them like 3 and half weeks ago! Why are they doing this? My case has been touched/updated 4 times since then, Should I submit them again? what do I do?

I've sent an e-mail back to the embassy saying that I have completed them 3 weeks ago and that they should look at their system. Which leads me to think, Maybe the person who sent me the e-mail didn't look properly and that they have got them and it's just some stupid generic response?

I'm going out of my mind, i was hoping for thanksgiving with him this year, Looks like I can kiss that Idea goodbye :@

Sorry to hear this! I would be going absolutely mad.

Not good news and i've never heard of it happening?

Are you sure you submitted and signed everthing off correctly etc?

Oh boy! That's terrible. Do you think it's maybe got something to do with the fact that you submitted them before you received the packet-3? I did the same thing, and I now feel that's what must have messed up my application as well. But then there have been hundreds of people who did that before us, and they seem to have gotten away with it no problem. Why isn't anything straightforward with this process!!??

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope the embassy finds your forms - but it should be relatively simple to just submit the forms again, no?

My internet was fine, I printed both of the forms out for proof.

I've just done them again, What a pain in the ###, But I have put a date of arrival in the US to hopefully be there by thanksgiving, I've put 20th of November. I'm just hoping I can get an interview now :( But what's annoying is, What on earth were those updates? all 4 of them.

I'm tempted to submit my forms again, too. But if I do that before they tell me to, that might just mess it up even further! But they never seem to reply to my messages. i sent them two messages through their online form, and no reply so far. How many days did they take to reply to you?

Exactly! They say 3- 4 days, That's not true, They took around 1 week 3 days? Something like that, I guess, Well I still hope it was a mess up and my letter comes today (Lol, I'm going out of my mind) But i've submitted them both again now, So cross fingers the site will update soon :'( I've wasted nearly 2 weeks for nothing and it doesn't help that you can't call them either.

EDIT: The CEAC has updated again to the 20th.

This is so f***d up!! There is no way you can call them, they take their own sweet time to reply to emails -- in my case, possibly never! -- and they misplace our forms and just ask us to do them again. Just like that! Makes TSC look efficient!!

And that CEAC updates thing is totally random I think. Mine updated all those times too and I have had NOTHING from them. I am now half convinced that in two weeks time they will get back to me and say, ''I'm sorry, who are you", again?"' :(

I thought TSC was bad, But I think London is right there with them, It would be great if they could say what the touches and updates are, Like a little box at the bottom "Received blah blah blah" I know they must be busy with lots of visas being processed each day, But there is no excuse for them to take that long to reply back and waste more time, I think they don't know how this process feels like. I just want it to be over with, I'm ready to go, Got most stuffed packed/ given away, I haven't got anything to hold me back, Other than my work, But I finish there in November 10th.

Was informed of my interview today! No letter yet (packet 4), but the senator in the US we were in touch with informed us.

Nov 6th at 8am

Hopefully all of our letters are in the post right now!

Hi there - Can I just confirm something? You submitted the DS-160 and applicant readiness form before you got the packet 3/3.5, correct? Just trying to figure out why they misplaced Hiroshi's forms (and if they did mine too!) :(

I'm totally regretting it, But I read it wasn't much of a big deal, Cause others have done it as well with no problem, So that's why I did it, Still hoping it's a mistake, I will wait till the post comes and if nothing then I know, I'm doooooomed :P Just hoping that since putting a 20th November date as my arrival (That is the date I am planning on going) that they can somehow speed it up?

I sent them an e-mail on the 6th of October, So it took exactly 2 weeks for them to reply.

EDIT: My bad, I thought that was a reply to me :') bahah!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed (it's difficult to type, though! :P ) -- I hope the postman brings you good news today. Either ways I hope you will be able to make it by the 20th. We planned a big Thanksgiving dinner, too. And at this rate that looks iffy right now..... :(

Took them 3 working days to reply to my 'contact us' submission / query.

And then once an email dialogue was established, they were replying within half a day everytime.

Why are they taking so long to reply back to you guys? Seems very odd, because London could not have been more helpful, or indeed efficient, with me.

Oh my god, that makes me feel even worse!! Maybe they don't like my name/face. Or maybe it's because I'm gay. Why me god, why me!! LOL

Just kidding.

I just hope they haven't lost my forms is all. I want to be there before Thanksgiving. Surely, that's not too much to ask!

PS: I just noticed you're flying to Boston tomorrow. Yay!! Must be SUCH a relief to be finally done with this shite. Gives me hope -- that there will such a day when I can be on a plane to Boston, too. We live in hope!
