Hi, all.

I have a simple question; do you know if I will receive my visa on the same day as the interview? Or this is something that is likely to take a while to be generated?

It takes them some time to print the visa so no, you won;t get it on the day. Usually about 2 weeks later.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

My interview was September 2nd, they sent it September 5th, I received it September 9th (after the weekend).. so yeah, give it a week or two to show up. Good luck at the interview!

Edit: This was for K-1, but I assume processing the visa is the same no matter which type of visa.

Visa issued same day? No ball.gif

If not whats the waiting period? The passport with visa is delivered back to the applicant via Secure Mail Services (SMS) courier operating under the brand-name DX Secure. This takes anywhere from 24 hours to a week. The cost is $30 delivered to you home or free if you pick up at a depot. SMS contact number 0870 950 1760 SMS website www.securemail.co.uk SMS contact number the latest number 0871 562 6666 SMS website is www.thedx.co.uk
