Hey Everyone!

So me and my fiancé got our NOA 1 on March 26.14.. and to this point have heard nothing, I know TSC is back up ,... but I have no clue why it would take this long? we used a lawyer so I know everything should be done properly. Also I go down to the united states every 9 days for 5 days to visit ( thanks to have a rotational work schedule). So we def have enough proof our relationship is legit. I know Canada is probably last on their list of countries.. but I never imagined it would take over 6 months :(

The latest processing timelines show that on 31st July 2014, TSC was processing I-129Fs received on or before 2nd February 2014.

I would imagine you would hear something within the next month or so.

It seems like your I-129F is now beyond of normal processing times. Have you tried to call USCIS and made an inquiry about your petition? On the side note, I consider yourself as a lucky fella because not too many people have a chance to visit their US fiance(e) even from the country like Canada. I have only met my then-fiance (my now husband) twice in over five year of our courtship - the first one was in 2010 and the second one in 2014 when he came to Jakarta to attend my interview with me-.

You should be approved soon. You filed at the worst time..... they transferred Apr/May filers to CSC so the Mar TSC filers are forced to wait the 7 months. I would call USCIS and/or get a congressman or senator involved.

Also, don't assume because you hired a lawyer that everything was done correctly. I personally have a couple friends that hired lawyers and each one screwed things up so don't be surprised if you get an RFE.

Good luck!

Contact USCIS ASAP. Your application has gone past the expected processing time. Ask to speak to a tier 2 rep. Also contact your local congressman's office to get their help.

Actually, if you filed after February 2nd, you are still within normal processing times according to the wonderful folks at TSC. Now, we all know that is complete BS and my congressional rep confirmed that when she spoke with a liaison who stated they were currently working on April filers.

You can try to call and have a T2 file a service request for you (you will not be able to do it online) and if they refuse, like they did to me and I am 3 weeks before you, then call again later (10 more times if necessary) until one files it for you. Or, you can call your congressman like I did and have them open a case for you. Mine discovered my file was still sitting in the general pile waiting for an adjudicator to pick it up so that may also be the case for you. Mine has now, supposedly, been sitting on the adjudicators desk for two weeks so it is time for me to get my congressman to push for an update. I also opened a case with the ombudsman by filing a DHS-7001.

It is definitely time (post 6 months) for you to take action as stated above. In another week or two, they should post new processing times and we might be able to file online also but why wait? Light a fire under their lazy butts.

I am very sorry you have been waiting for so long but I must respectfully disagree with your suggestion of "just waiting". There is absolutely no way in hell, I would not be calling every day demanding answers from Tier 2, Ombudsman, Congressman and whoever else I can corner until I am satisfied if I have waited that long. I am about to start that myself and I am at 7+ months. They can not treat you (us) like that and owe you an explanation or action. I am sorry, but I would be singeing their eyebrows on a daily basis until they did something....if there is a problem with your petition, they at least need to let you know why. Good luck to you.
