I think you're more than fine.

I don't think there is a too much when it comes to being safe than sorry, but make sure its all organized. I doubt more than 20 pages would get looked at, but you never know if the one thing they are looking for is buried in your papers :)

Oh, and you need to fill out a Form G-1145 to receive electronic communications from them. That way you will know the moment they receive and accept it. You need to put that page 1st, and do not forget to create a cover letter with a table of contents as your 2nd page listing all of your documents etc.

Hi. I am sending the I-130 paperwork in tomorrow for my wife Ana. we have been married since May, but just now got everything in order to be send in. I want to make sure everything is right here is a list of the items I am sending,

payment for $420.00

I-130 form

G325a form with passport photo for petition (making sure you have the right form here)

G325a form with passport photo for beneficiary

U.S birth certificate

certify copy registrar certificate of marriage ONLY photocopy is needed.

U.S passport ( I sent this in to show proof of being in the Philippines) (just photocopy the pages that show you were admitted entry.)

Engagement and wedding rings and gifts receipts (not really needed, just prove you bought rings...)

Airlines boarding pass and iternaries

Hotels receipts

Facebook chat

other chats

pictures of us and her family

brief summary/timeline of our relationship and marriage

Total pages is about 150,I will really appreciate others thoughts. Am I sending too much? Is there something I forgot?

Thank you

Jerry

I have also attach form G-1145 for notification

150 pages total is overkill. Submit chats/emails that show you keep in contact but you don't need to submit everything. A selection of a chat per month for example is better than 100 pages of blah that no one will read. Hotel receipts unless they have both names on it are not needed as aren't receipts for engagement rings etc... You're trying to prove you have a genuine relationship not that you got married.

Hi,

I agree with previous posts. It sounds good that you guys seem to have a lot of proof about your relationship. While more is always better, there are some things that are unnecessary.

The form you need are G325A for each of you, not G325.

You can either use your passport or birth certificate for proof of citizenship, not both. Since you will be using your passport to prove your visits, you could just make a copy of the bio page of your passport and the visa pages showing the stamps.

The receipts for the rings and gifts are good, in my opinion. I sent a picture and receipt of our rings as well.

Boarding passes and itineraries are good to prove your travel in addition to the stamps.

Now, the chats, emails, pictures, and things of that nature, you don't have to send everything. Only send the most important or a small selection spanning across your entire relationship. For example, we sent about 5 pictures for each visit I made.

They don't want an entire album because they won't look at it. Also they don't want a textbook worth of chats/emails because they won't read them all. Just small amounts across your relationship. So a few chats emails per month for example would be good.

The decision here is up to you if you want to send whatever proof you can get. If you can fit it all in to one envelope then by all means go ahead, I always say that the more evidence the better. However, you don't want to bury the more important things. Therefore, you want to put the relevant proofs in the front like the petition, payment, forms, proof of USC, and marriage cert.

So it sounds like you have more than enough evidence to approved without any RFE's. Good luck.

This does not constitute legal advice.

I have only included 1 or 2 page for diffrent month of chat but it is for three year from when we first met our wedding and commuication now. 150 total pages does not just include facebook chats but other chats such as yahoo msg and text from phone i want to show that we have good comunication. also the pages includes the forms needed also pictures hotels recepts and boarding passes with both of us on the reciepts.Maybe it is overkill but i will rather send in too much then not enough. If they do not want to look at all the chat, they do not have too. I am sure others have sent in way more then me

Thanks for your reply. It is the g-325 a form I will edit my post and add the a. I also have everything separated and use paper clips. All the forms and paperwork are together, then I clip the airline iternaries together, then hotel receipts together, then engagement wedding rings and other gifts together, then Facebook chats together, then other chats together, then pictures together and then summary/timeline .I could elimate the birth certificate but it is only one extra page. I just want to make sure they will know that our relationship is genuine. I love my wife very much and I just do not want no problems or rfe with her getting her visa to come here

I agree with NLR, receipts for engagement and wedding rings are nothing more than fluff pieces. They only show you went to a store and bought them, they don't show any evidence about your relationship.

Your strongest evidence is evidence of time spent together in-person, focus more on that and less on things that are meaningless.

ring receipts prove a lot. one of the requirements is intent to marry. an engagement is a huge sign that is happening, not to mention if a receipt is paid for in the country of the beneficiary, it is evidence that both parties are together. almost all evidence, in a sense, can be fabricated -- even hotel receipts with names. no need to be too cynical.

the reason I sent the engagement and wedding ring receipt in. We posted a picture of us on Facebook with Ana showing off her engagement ring, we also posted pic and short video of our wedding, I thought with the pictures and receipt it will help prove our relationship. I also sent in boarding pass for Cebu airlines of my and her flight together and pictures of me and her together, and with her family. I mail it today I did eliminate some of the chats.my total pages that I sent in was about 90 narrow down from 150

Intent to marry is not applicable to a CR1/IR1 case, I'm sorry if you're misunderstanding that. For a K1 case, it can be decent evidence of intent to marry but when you're already married, it just shows you bought rings. Not everyone needs a ring. :) Everyone is different.

Regarding the rest of your post: My intent is to give a 3rd person view, such as an adjudicating officer would give, vs someone who is trying to hold your hand and say everything is wonderful. Everyone can send whatever they wish, it is their case and their prerogative. But if you send the wrong information, you will get an RFE. If you send too much information that isn't of good quality, it can lead to a harder interview and/or an RFE because they're not convinced and think you just sent filler or fluff. So my goal is to help people, not just the OP, learn what is good, quality evidence that will help their cases, and not add fluff that doesn't. If I say it in a manner that seems to be harsh, it's because experience has taught me that saying things in a straight, forward, to the point manner is more effective. Of course you can't hear my voice or know inflection of speech over the internet. So while typed, it sounds perhaps cynical, or maybe just downright tactless, that's never my intention. I don't want to hurt feelings while getting my point across, but occasionally it happens. I apologize when it does and I'm informed of such.

I understand that intend to marry does not apply to my case. I only send the rings receipt in to help strengthen the secondary evidence. the Marriage certificate should prove that we are actually married. I also sent in boarding passes with her, also pictures of us together and with her family. I hope will prove that we was together. the Facebook and other chats I hope will prove that we stay in touch as much as a husband and wife would. I did narrow my pages down

Thanks for your input
