I-130 Case Status - Shows on 4 steps when I input my receipt number

We applied for I-130 petition mid August this year. I have been tracking it ever since, and I have noticed one peculiar thing. Wondering if thats how it shows up for everyone. When I go to the Check Your Case Status link from USCIS website, it shows several steps, each having its own tiny circle. These steps are Acceptance, Initial Review, Request for Evidence, Request for Evidence Response Review, Testing and Interview, Decision, Post Decision Activity, Oath Ceremony, and Card Document Production.

Once I enter my I-130 receipt number, the only circles that show are Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision, and Post Decision Activity. Wondering if this is normal and how it shows for others as well? Or is it just in my case.

Thanks

How does one do that?

On that same page you go to that has Check my status. Look to your left see the Sign up for Case Updates. You click and you will see Register as applicant customer.

This is where you register and and sign up going forward for text and email updates and notices.

Many people never do that and wonder why they never see status updates or as we call "touches".
