to be certain, DC has gotten too populated.

I say -

reduce the population down to 1/3 of what it is now,

and force all Congressmen to live inside the district, taking the bus to work each day.

No need to build new places - there's lots of residential buildings there that are easily converted into 1-floor, 1 family residences, complete with security and maids quarters, for almost no money.

Limit the occupation of Georgetown to ONLY college students, as well. Profs can live elsewhere...

You're a bit of a fascist, might explain your love affair with the Chinese Communists.

As the license plate says "taxation without representation."

D.C. received more than $5.00 in federal spending for every one dollar of federal taxes paid by D.C. residents. I want to be taxed like that. I'd happily pay 100K in taxes every year if the feds gave me 500K a year for that. Hell, I'd pay a million at that ratio. Wanna take my vote in return? Deal!

You'd like to be made that offer. In other words, you want a choice in the matter.

Do you see the difference?

uh unh, no, nope.

it's a federal district, outgrown it's usefulness by the demographics of the population. Sure, my concept may sound silly to most, but I've spent time in DC - tis too much squalor for the nation's capital.

re: Chinese Communists - uh - as a group, no - no love affair there. Individually, one at time, yes... but never, ever as a group - my hate for most things Chinese is well known here, CCP and otherwise.

Mandatory relocations? That's pretty fascist, sorry. Your true colors have finally bled through.

it's really facist? sorry, I be clueless on that one. IMO, do what I've mentioned, then the 'push' to become a state disappears.
