Three killed, including shooter, at UPS facility in Alabama

(Reuters) - Three people were killed, including the gunman, in a shooting on Tuesday at a United Parcel Service Inc facility in Alabama, police said.

The incident occurred at a company facility in the Inglenook neighborhood of Birmingham, police said, adding that all of the dead appeared to be UPS employees.

Officers found the victims, including one person believed to be the shooter, who had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper told reporters.

"When these people came to work today, they had no idea that this would be their last day here on earth," Roper said.

The motive was not immediately known, Roper said, adding that the shooter was wearing a UPS employee uniform.

Male shooter. Apparently a guy that was fired from UPS. Good thing he had a gun to defend himself, eh?

It's been a while since we've had the disgruntled employee mass shooting, glad to see it hasn't fallen out of favor.

What's sad is, this has become the norm.

And guess what - it doesn't happen in other countries with anything like the frequency that it occurs in the US.

Of course the number of guns in circulation has nothing to do with it. Of course not.

Could have been another one of those mental types who was pizzed because his bulk order of Thorazine from his healthcare insurance company wasn't delivered on time!

People get medications from their healthcare insurance companies? Only in RWNJ land...

Wow, I need to ask my provider ( United Healthcare) why I have to use OPTUMRx since according to you they do not pay these people. Nice try!
